The above pictured home belonged to Ms. Blanche Petitt, a friend and neighbor of my grandmother. As a child, this home was a reference point when referring to other home's on the block as Ms. Pettit had resided here since 1944. A kind lady who was always known for her kindness and love of children, Ms. Petitt moved in with her daughter in '07. The home is a lovely specimen of Queen Architecture and was built in 1907. I am not sure if the covered Tennessee marble porch is original but it certainly is a nice addition if not as is the carport which will keep you from having to scrape your windshield next winter.
